Sleep In For Skin

We all recognise the impact a bad night’s sleep can have on our mental and physical state, but getting your fair share of decent sleep will also have a positive effect on your skin. Choosing a silky pillow cover will also help eliminate pillow creases on your skin. You can even go one step further and buy pillows which have been designed to save your face from wrinkles and reduce facial compression.

Tea For Two

Give your eyes a revive with this cool beauty hack; Pop two green, black, or chamomile tea bags into hot water for less than a minute. Then immediately remove the tea bags from the water and chill in a small bowl in the refrigerator. Once chilled, place a bag over each closed eyelid. Leave on your lids for 5 to 15 minutes to relieve tired and puffy eyes.

Oil For Your Skin

Although we recommend taking our CBD Oil orally, you can hydrate dry skin topically by putting 3 – 6 drops of our CBD Oil into the palm of your hand to warm the oil and applying gently with your fingertips to your skin, avoiding your eyes to give your face a thirst-quenching treat. Another natural antioxidant-rich blend is to combine equal measures of pomegranate seed oil, sweet almond oil and raspberry seed oil, shaking well and applying as above.

Say Yes To Yoga

Yoga offers some fantastic poses to give your skin a healthy boost by improving and encouraging proper blood circulation. Any Inversion pose, such as the Dolphin, whereby your head moves below your heart will help increase the flow of oxygen and nutrients to your face. A good night’s sleep also gives our skin time to rejuvenate. Self-care is essential for gorgeous, glowing skin!

Say No To Sugar

Then strain the tea, so you are just left with the tea water and cool to room temperature before applying to the face via cotton pads or a spray bottle to spritz onto clean, dry skin as and when required.

Spot On

As adults, hormonal changes can still cause the occasional breakout of pimples so take action by keeping a bottle of tea tree oil in your bathroom cabinet. Tea Tree Oil is renowned for its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, and research shows it can help reduce mild to moderate acne breakouts. It also contains high amounts of alpha-hydroxy acids, which are implied to slow down the skin’s ageing process, as well as high concentrations of vitamin A, B1, B6, C and minerals. If you can resist eating all of your fresh pineapple, then take a slice and rub it all over your skin. Leave the juice to dry on the skin for approx. 3 minutes, then wash off with warm water and pat dry. Apply your soothing facial moisturiser.

In A Nutshell

As with all of these ingredients and tips, always do a patch test on the inside of your elbow (A wait of 24 hours are recommended, covered with a bandage) to check that you do not have an adverse reaction. Even with natural ingredients, there is always a risk of sensitivity. If you have a known allergy to any of these ingredients, do not handle or apply topically to your skin.
