Eat More Greens

Eating more of the green stuff each day, will not only give you more energy, but will help you lose weight, have increased mental clarity and look and feel fantastic. Drink More Water, Less Wine

We know it’s easier to drink a bottle of wine with dinner and much harder to drink the equivalent in water. However, water consumption not only hydrates your brain, body and skin (so you look fabulous and stay smart and witty) but also helps the body flush out toxins and keep energy levels buoyant. As for the alcohol, we all know it’s bad for us internally, but did you know it also dehydrates your skin?  It is also thought that drinking too much can also deprive the skin of vital vitamins and nutrients. That means over time it could have a long term detrimental effect on your skin. Yikes!

Get More Sleep

Sleep isn’t just crucial for our brains and mood. Did you know that sleep affects growth and stress hormones, our appetites, blood pressure and even cardiovascular health? How much sleep you get and the quality are important factors. On average you should be getting 7 – 8 hours a night and putting in place a relaxing routine is a good starting point for a restful night. Exercising regularly will not only encourage you to relax physically but is also an excellent stress buster for those of us who let our troubles keep us awake at night too. Switch your phone and gadgets off at least 2 hours before you go to bed and relax with a good read.
